State College Modern Home
This modern home was built in 1967 by the former head of architect of Penn State. The grid-like glass house has floor-to-ceiling windows to allow in natural lighting and feel as though you were living in nature but in the comfort of a home. All the views from the house allows you to admire the surrounding natural green sanctuary. The new owners have a passion and admiration of art themselves so this home was just their style. As you will see, they incorporated some of the greens from outside into their décor.
They were looking for new Walnut floors to match their current flooring in part home of their home. We created beautiful wide plank, 8 inch, natural Walnut hardwood flooring for them. We also created matching natural Walnut landing stair treads. These treads were crafted for their 1-ton steel staircase known as, “Elvis.”
