Big Valley Log Home

On the mountain top just above the Big Valley is this exquisite, newly constructed round log home. They wanted to create their dream home that would incorporate their style of loving the outdoors. To show their love for their community, they went with local companies as much as possible. Their fireplace consists of 28,000 pounds of stone they found within the Big Valley.

Continuing to stay local, the homeowners came to Peachey Hardwood Flooring asking to create a floor that was unique and fitting with their log home style. They decided on an engineered hardwood floor of mixed widths of 4, 5, and 6 inches White Oak that was heavily Skip Planed, black bled, and finished with a Molasses stain. This floor shows a lot of character and a rustic look that naturally fit with the theme of their home. They also wanted something that could hold up to their new additions of the family: two Bernese Mountain dogs. Rustic hardwood flooring styles tend to show less potential damage from pets than formal hardwood flooring with a smooth finish.
