Central PA Cabin
Along the bank of Pine Creek, you will stumble upon this great getaway family cabin. This newly constructed home is just what the client wanted, a place to get away from busy life to relax and enjoy the outdoors when family visits. We were honored to have these clients come back and ask us make their hardwood floors for their new home just as we had done previously for their remodel. However, this time they wanted something new and harmonized effortlessly with their lifestyle and natural surroundings.
The floor covers the whole house from the Jack and Jill bedrooms on one side to the main area and loft on the other, so it needed to transition seamlessly from one area to the next. The homeowners finalized that a Live Sawn White Oak with a footworn Black Bleed treatment and New England Walnut stain was just the perfect look. They selected a 12 inch wide Engineered product since it’s more dimensionally stable than solid hardwood flooring. Wider widths of Live Sawn White Oak display the 3 different grain patterns: Plain Sawn, Rift Sawn, and Quarter Sawn. These patterns mixed along with the black bleed makes a breathtaking rustic floor.
